Ramon Pedrosa-Lopez DIR CIR founded and runs Pedrosa.

He has been working in Asia for more than 20 years and is currently based in Almaty, Kazakhstan and London. He believes Central Asia is the next big story.

Pedrosa was CEO and Director of several Communication companies, a foreign correspondent, and a financial markets journalist in China and South East Asia. He worked as a journalist for Agencia EFE, Spain’s International News Agency, as head of its Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur offices. He also wrote from Tokyo, London, Jakarta or Seoul.

As an opinion writer, his articles have been published in the International Herald Tribune, the New York Times, Forbes, El Español, Times of Malta, RBTH, El País, or La Nación.

He trained as an IR expert at the Investor Relations Society in the United Kingdom, which awarded him its prestigious Diploma in Relations, its highest accreditation; and its Certificate in Investor Relations. He holds an Advanced Programme in Investor Relations by the Madrid Stock Market Institute, as well.

He holds a double Master’s degree in Regional Integration from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He holds a degree in Information Sciences from the Universidad Cardenal-Herrera CEU in Spain, and studied at the University of Westminster in London and the University of Nancy II in France.

He has served as a professor at Euronext Academy and has lectured in universities in Europe and America.

He has lived in numerous countries, in cities such as London, Valletta, Jakarta, and Hong Kong, where he was interim president and First Vicepresident of the Foreign Correspondents Club.

He is fluent in English, French and Spanish. And used to speak quite good Indonesian. Not anymore.

His latest book, The Philosophy of Investor Relations, was published in early 2023.
